Time change means Duckling is awake sooner. Hectic morning!
After getting her up, there was a problem at the coop. They were very upset, so I threw a coat on Duckling, and carried her down. The neighbors did manage to get some of my Pekin eggs it seems. One big white drake, and two smaller ducks were annoying my birds in the coop. They were chasing my ducks too. I can't say it's a dangerous situation. I am hoping not. Jojo is top bird in my flock. Even my rooster respects him. This drake was still able to dominate him.
The drake has a bump on his head, and is very pale. Paler than a layer duck in fall! He fell, and I suspect it's from a lack of niacin.I was told that the neighbors knew how to raise ducks. I also vividly remember being chased down while working in the yard to answer duck questions. I was ckear on the need for niacin and duck feed!!
Though I use all flock.
Duckling isn't the only one getting up earlier.
