An Abbey ale? Belgian style?
Super yummy if your not a Coors light fan :-D more like a fine wine.
Trappist style, those monks sure do know how to make a great beer
Have a awesome one near me by the national baseball hall of fame, brewery Ommegang. What brewery did you visit? I know and have tried just about them all, have a awesome distributor near me that relishes in the small local regional brews around the country.
Yes it's an Abbey ale. The brewery is a local one my friend started up. It's called Monks Cellar. Outstanding brews with awesome food as well. This is where I pick up my spent grain and I give him a dozen eggs in trade. This time he gave me a growler of the Abbey. I'm trying it as it's made out of a Belgium yeast instead of an American yeast. I don't drink much but when I do I like a more flavored brew. Coors light, Gag.
We have a brewery just around the corner that makes a seasonal porter that's aged in Jack Daniels whiskey barrels. Most of the time there is a line to get what's available.
