Shepherd dogs can help in this situation?

To a certain point. Hogs are unlike any other animal. When they decide they don't want to go somewhere, they don't. Very colorful language occurs in these situations.

You have to get the right dog. My dog, Bob, (English Shepherd) can move any one of our 4 300 lb pigs no matter how grumpy or moody they are.
