Good to know - I've heard/seen suggestions of doing it in a pan on the stove (or a hot air popcorn popper), didn't think about the smoke.

So cool that you do that!!!!

True story: I transferred to NJ when I worked for IBM. They flew DW & I into an airport somewhere in north Jersey for a house hunting trip. I'd been working there for a month, but this was DW's 1st trip. We rented a car, and as we headed north, DW wanted to know what that green stuff in the air was. I told her that was the air; it always looked like that.

Ours is usually brown unles trees are pollinating then it's green. Something is pollinating now. The car is green with it

My friend tried it with his BBQ. It made too much noise. You have too listen to the pop the first pop is called "city" it's fairly loud the second pop sounds much like rice crispy in milk. instructions will tell you how far to take the beans. Well he couldn't hear the pop and completely burned them.

I'm not sure how the Air popper would work. I don't think you would have control of the temps as the roaster does it automatically.

There used to be a limestone quarry near here. The yellow house across the road from it was perpetually covered in white dust from the quarry. We get the yellow pollen all on the vehicles in the Spring

Just up the road a bit we have the clay pipe manufacturer. Everything is red around the plant. The mill is right across the street from them.

Deer are easy.... It's the big bucks that are hard. I'm seeing tons of does.
And this area isn't a population dense area.... Our climate and geography is more moose friendly. And we have a lot of wolves to.... So yeah not exactly a deer mecca.... 20 years ago we didn't have any wolves and we had plenty of deer..... Can't stand wolves....

While putting the roaster away the hens were stirred up. Went out to see what the problem was. Two does were by the coop. Of course I forgot my phone to take a picture.
