yeah, but sometimes great for snowmen!
Yeah, you can have all the wet snow you want... Powdery snow is better, then the ponds can be cleared easy and hockey can start. :yesss:
@shahtir101 We have one little baby, and yer gonna get upset with me! I had a procedure Monday and I totally forgot to lock them down Sunday night and I didnt add lockdown water until too late, I dehydrated them in the shell. She has one from the batch and is terrible upset with me about loosing the chicks. ughhhh so I apologize for killing them to you as well :hit she is at least happy she has this little one

Isle Royale

Yellowstone is giardia prone, check out water filters for that. Here is a photo of the one I ended up carrying several years ago. If you are on horseback then it still might be your best choice. I always needed to balance ease of pumping with "Micron" filter ability, you need it to be fairly easy to pump so you drink enough. If it filters to well it clogs easily. the second photo below is nice, no pumping. if the advertisement claims "millions" of gallons then the water is clean before they start.

Thanks. I will be on horseback the first five days in the Tetons when the big eclipse is, and then hiking and touring Yellowstone on foot the next six days or so. I am still trying to limit/decide what I will do there. I have to apply for campsites in January so time is growing short. It is just so hard to choose. I wish I had at least two weeks.

I'm doin ok, thanks for askin... No snow yet, but it's coming soon enough.
Believe me, if I had some, I'd give it to ya!

The first few snows are the worst... All soggy and SO hard to shovel.
People up in the Dakotas, MN, WI and MI areas are in for a shock. It's 60 in Minneapolis today and a blizzard heading that way in the next couple days. Poor chickens.

I love REI. I turned my daughter on to it and she's a member now too stocking up for her trips abroad. A good friend works at one in CA.

I haven't had an Easter egg lately either. I was surprised to find that my Muscovie seems to have stopped laying for the winter. If anyone has Muscovies, and can tell me if this is normal, I'd appreciate it.
...
How about olive eggs?

Ooops, sorry, I ate them for breakfast.
