I also never herd of someone that did it, but If you will give the hen LH ( the same hormon that synthetic derivatives of it found in birth control pills ) you will trigger a negativ feedback loop that will reduce the secretion of the LH- GnRH from the hippothalamus and that will stop the reproductive system. In briff take one of your rubbish hen give it 1/8 of a birth control pill daily and see what happens!

Thanks for the input but I don't think I'll do that. I'll leave that up to the researchers.
Light therapy works for me just fine.
They tested growth hormones for poultry back in the '40s and it wasn't cost effective nor did is work very well. It couldn't be put in feed so each bird had to be injected which created a huge labor cost.

I am just curious, I new that you wouldn't do it.
