Well since the frost killed the plants before they were ripe I've hung them in my barn to dry them, then when they're dry I'll peel them.

Dan to help the process this year I've trimmed the bottom off and cut a hole at the top to help them dry out. While they hang.

wait, you skin them fresh?   You know these would be so cool to make goat milk soaps and bath bombs etc and make a basket to sell!!!  I am very interested in the plants but not sure they even grow here!

oh boy!

Pretty sure they'll grow for you. I did skin one green. Was afraid it would rot. It's not very warm in the barn. I only have five to experiment with.

Thanks, us kids do an advent ornament every year so there's ALOT to choose from! I think my favorite one is either the chicken one my mom got me or our glass pickle. No the stove does not dry it out, it only makes it better!
