My first batch goes into lock down tomorrow morning. I'm so excited.

I've tried to go by the book on how to be successful at hatching. I've worried and fretted over these little guys. And I've had some hard times with them. Even the electricity going out; ontop of when the heat fluctuated,so, these little guys are survivors! (I'm hoping for more girls than guys though)

Kids expect to all have a smart phone. I am guilty of giving in to that, (but so that I can always know where they are).


There is more computational power on a first generation smart phone than was taken to the moon on the apollo landings. What do they need with all that??


I confess - I gave them way too much stuff when they were little. Should have just taken them to the beach more often.

You can adopt me! We can go to the beach every day!!

Hatch update:
Looks like the TJ eggs have done hatching. Over a dozen out from 3 dozen eggs set. Not too bad for old, washed and chilled eggs.

Of the second set there are 10 out - not sure yet what but some look like Swedish black hens and there is a male cream Legbar. Still some eggs to go.
