They are starting to try and stand, and then pass back out! The other two eggs are hatching as I write this!

@DwayneNLiz @MotorcycleChick I forget which one of you told me to keep the cracked, rolling AC one. Well, it has veins....
Awesome!

Time to hunker down for the cold. Calling for wind chills of -18 tomorrow and 2-4 inches of snow. Kids are already on a 2 hour delay.
Brrrrr. not certain what my wind chill is supposed to be tomorrow.

Quote: Bummer, I hope it was only a one day strike!

Quote: Yes, how long ago did it hatch?

About 5 hrs ago! They came awfully quick. Pretty sure they must have started to pip very late last night or very early this morning. I've got another one who pipped at 2:30 or so, just now starting to make a little more progress.

Son laughs when schools delay or close for accumulations like that. In WI, where he's lived for 15+ years, 4" doesn't even qualify as a nuisance.

Oh, believe me, it's not the snow they're delaying for. Remember we're on the ridge tops and we're used to snow here. They delay or cancel for the bitter cold. With all the rural bus routes, they don't want any kids standing out in the wind and cold, waiting for the busses.
