Tha Ocular - the lens that you connect your eyes to.
And the Objective - a set of lenses neer the observed object.
The ocular enlarge X10 or X15 usualy
And the objectiv have 3 or 4 lenses that enlarge X4, X10, X10,X100
Or something close.

So the total magnification of the scop, if the ocular is X10, is between x40(10X4) To X1000(10X100)
You need to aim to scop that have X40 to X100 at least.
ok so I already ran into an issue, what is a stereo microscope vs a compound

ok so I already ran into an issue, what is a stereo microscope vs a compound :oops:

The ocular can have one lens =monocular
Or 2= binocular
For novices I will recommend the one lens =monocular
