Ok I need to ask a stupid incubator question.... I use a hovabator Genesis incubator (3 actually  ) and 1 small magicfly incubator. Has anybody seen a huge increase in their electric bill from the use of their incubators. My electric bill has skyrocketed and our heat and dryer is propane. I do run 1 heat lamp and 1 electric oil filled radiator but thats about it. I would think it should be way higher in the summer when the air is running.... 

Where we are at the meter gets "read" every other month the other month it's estimated. Sometimes it's high I have noticed a slight increase while running but nothing that would be alarming.

Also rates go up here all the time so it's hard to tell what is increase and what is usage.

Guess I'll be resurrecting the duck tape brooder- was hoping to get a new one, but forgot.
(Duck tape brooder is a fish tank held together with duck tape)

I've used the fish tank numerous times. Now I just use a cardboard box from work. Disadvantage can't see chicks, advantage their brooder goes into compost pile when done.
