I am no longer a guinea  lover, they are getting on the one unfrayed nerve I have left.  I have way to many.  I am trying to decide if I want eggs from them this year, or to fill a freezer with them or just try to sell them. 


Anyone here need 30 Guineas?

I have 4 freezers, I might have room in one. BUT processing is not fun in the winter.

Do you have a local poultry swap? That is where I take extra birds. Can get 5-7 and sometimes more for my chickens, which is easier than processing for me.

Anyone seen my wire wheel that goes in the drill chuck? Tearing the work bench apart looking for it, no luck yet, but at least the bench is getting organized for the upteenth time.

If it's anything like mine it rolled under the bench after falling off while I was working on something else.

We do not have swaps up here. I am thinking of bundling the guineas is groups of 3-5 and putting them on Craigslist. BUT I get 6 bucks a keet if I hatch them so I have mixed feelings.


I only have 3 guineas free ranging the other 30 are in the "Guinea Gulag" I was going to keep the there until I get 500 eggs, but that would be May, and their noise is driving the WWD crazy. (not sure if that is a good or bad thing)


I have a commercial Whirly Gig type plucker so I can pluck them in about 7 seconds a bird. Which makes cleaning them a breeze. if it is above freezing. Which might be May also.
