Oh, I have brought oysters and Indian smoked salmon back in my carry on luggage from WA state when I visit since I miss seafood so much. The TSA people were funny.

Shalom Chaos!
What new?
Nothing much is new. How about you?
No, I *gasp* don't have an incubator, and I have the plug in cooler left from my site days. I also have a big regular cooler and a big styrofoam one from a shipment with dry ice that I thought could be a hatcher.
Gaspindeed.
I would use a regular cooler, since I know nothing about a plug in cooler. Also a plug in one seems like it would be more work getting it to where you want it to be. Size would be dependant on how many eggs you wanna hatch out. Don't use the styrofoam one because it won't be as insulated as the plastic one. Plastic one will also be easier to clean.

We don't allow the toddler alone outside - but our animals free range on the property - so they have the option of being close by, if they so choose. You should join us in turkey talk, There are people there that know how to turn a turkey into a lapper. Even JJ my huge tom tolerates being held. I can pick him up at any time. When company comes he likes to be held so he can meet the people that are visiting.
When I had my NPIP inspection last year, the Lady Vet from the USDA became the object of his affections. After his blood rest instead of leaving the barn like the rest the turkeys, he followed her around. Doing the self gratification thing turkeys do by her feet all day long. There were 3 vets here 2 were women, but he onlu fell in love with the one. I felt sorry for her though besides having to step around JJ all day her co-workers were merciless in their ribbing of her over her new boyfriend.
I offered to lock him up but they all said no as they thought JJ was too funny and wanted him around.
Do be careful with the little ones though, I do not let my Grandkids pet JJ unless I am there, he is just too big for them and I never trust any make farm animal.

You could still use the fortex pan as it's easy to fill and dump water out of. Just mix up 1 gallon or 1/2 gallon (use .5 oz if mixing 1/2 gallon) of the Wazine water and pour it into your empty fortex pan.I water out of a Fortex pan normally, but I have one of the plastic jobs with the screw-on bottom that should be about a gallon...gotta check it out.
All frozen.I'm sure it made your luggage smell great![]()
As a lubricant.. to make kids look like Zombies for Halloween,,, As a natural sandwich spread, mixed with Miracle Whip it's way better than tuna
As to the upgrade. I am not sure how it is going. It is a lot more work than I planned on it being. I have 3 1202's. 4 counting the hatcher. one of them the hatcher come with electronic thermostats and have a wafer in them for safety. kind of. The hatcher has it for safety hooked in series, the incubator looks as if the wafer has never been hooked up, it is just there.
I have had trouble controlling the temps in it and am replacing with a cheap digital. Way more work and thinking than I had hoped for. Thinking is not my strong suit these days. I wanted it to be easy. GQF makes a digital to replace the old electronic one I have but they want 125 bucks for them, I paid 14 for the one I have (yes I am cheap). It requires an almost full rewire though to get it in. I hope to finish it today. This thermostat claims less than a half degree variation.
The one I ended up using for my hatch on the 10th (less than week) YAY!!! has the front wafer burnt out and I am controlling the temps on the back wafer. I bought a digital for it almost 2 years ago. I might get it in this year, it is an expensive Spyder Digital and controls to within 1 tenth of a degree. Wiring it should not be as hard as the one I am doing.
With the wafers I have as spares and the good ones I am replacing I should have enough for the other incubators for years. I will be reading those threads to see if I can learn anything. But I am a slow learner, after all I never learned enough yet to trade the WWD in on a new model that comes without a broom...![]()
BTW I did admit to being a hatching addict. All total I have 9 incubators but 5 of them are foam and I only use those for hatching or brooding the first couple days now.
I could think and reason better if I was not inundated with pictures of dux! Every time I see a dux it delays me another day.
