I've got one of each. The STC got replaced by a wafer but so far no problems with the UTC. Depending on the size of the bator you might need a bigger element. The bator that element is in is fairly small.Cool, I'm leaning towards that or similar element. Not sure why just not a fan of the light bulb. Time to head to amazon and figure out the difference between the UTC and STC 1000. I have a STC-1000 that I hooked up to my LG styro.

I'm not sure what was wrong with my digital that went bad. It would work great for a couple days then it wouldn't shut off. The other digital that I use works great thoughI've looked at the wafers and considered that route, just seems like there's more control with the digital. I think it comes down to what you are used to and comfortable with. Once I got the STC figured out it works like a champ as long as I do my part and plug it in correctly.![]()
! That could be a nice pot off soup!![]()

In that case you can send me a hummingbird!![]()
And thank you !![]()
We only have one species of hummingbird here - the Ruby Throat. And then only half the year.
All the hummingbirds here this time of year sing, "I died 3 months ago".All the hummingbirds up here this time of the year hum the same song " Dixie"....
I think they really yearn to be there now,
I had a lot of eggs freeze in the last week.Where are you located? Up here between the cold, frozen eggs and artificial lights the hatches are pathetic for another 8 weeks.
I notice if I get a warm day the egg production jumps. the last few days in the cold it is terrible. but it never justifies putting heat on them. The only bird I have heat on is Cuddles my Speckled Sussex Show rooster. I am hoping to save his comb, but it looks like one point is touched nowI have probably spent 200 bucks trying to save his comb. I would have made him a house rooster but the WWD was not even a little receptive to that idea.![]()
Let the buyer beware. So many people buy quality birds ad do very little or nothing to maintain that quality.I would highly suggest that since people are charging top dollar for garbage birds. I hate to say it but unless you have an insider connection, people who are advertising "show quality" often take pics of their best birds but don't send from those pens... and out of the 75% that hatch, only 10% are breeder or show quality and I have when kids have to be in the position to either show bad birds they hatched and get a low score or DQ or cull. right now white is the only accepted breed with hopefully black soon to come so hard for 4H cage. That or top breeder are offering birds to kids who cant afford a good pair for the cost of shipping and they are culls with DQ's instead of telling them to save another $35 or so fora decent bird locally. I will sell people pet birds from good lines but I ask they send me an email understanding that the birds are "pet quality" and not meant for breeding or showing. hatching on shipped eggs is 30% at best tooHope this helps..![]()
I think that with 24 Sermas you can get a nice pot! We are 0.0043% (22,000sqKM/510,000,000sqKM) of the earths surface, and we have 511 BIRDS SPECIES! including migratory ones.More like a CUP of soup.! That could be a nice pot off soup!

If you want to see hummingbirds, you should take a trip to Costa Rica - one of the most biologically diverse place on the planet. With only 0.03% of the earths surface, more than 500,000 species are found there which represents 4% of the total on earth. Over 820 known species of birds and more species of butterflies than the entire continent of Africa. While we have one species of hummingbird for part of the year, they have 52 species. In the central highlands and at mid elevations, you might see 10-20 species in a day. 17 species of parrots - we have none, 8 species of toucans and barbets - we have none, 16 species of woodpeckers - we have 6. We in MO have 3 or 4 species of flycatchers, the whole US has 36. The little country of CR (the size of West Virginia) has 77 species of flycatchers, While our tanagers, the Scarlet and the Summer are strikingly colored, they have 41 tanagers, including those two. http://www2.inbio.ac.cr/en/biod/bio_biodiver.htm https://news.mongabay.com/2016/05/top-10-biodiverse-countries/ Quote:All the hummingbirds here this time of year sing, "I died 3 months ago".All the hummingbirds up here this time of the year hum the same song " Dixie".... I don't think so. However, I'm not the poop inspector that Kathy is.
Serama is like the perfect single serve portion size of chicken for a meal, the same with Call Ducks.I think that with 24 Sermas you can get a nice pot!
