I've got one of each. The STC got replaced by a wafer but so far no problems with the UTC. Depending on the size of the bator you might need a bigger element. The bator that element is in is fairly small.

Hmm just saw the part about a bigger element. So I'm assuming the output isn't comparable to 500w worth of light bulbs?

I wouldn't think so. If it was that much output I would think it would get really hot, really fast.

I think that with 24 Sermas you can get a nice pot!
