Nothing. I simply offered what I'd do, based on 40 years experience. Our philosophies on raising dogs are obviously different, and I've no problem with that. To each their own.
yes and I explained mine back to you lol, I was not offended at all, you should know me better than that. I raise pets in general, and some take hunting but they are still house pets. I do my best to make a good inside companion for families.

Where your dogs are pets, mine were tools. That's not to say they weren't loved, by any means, but there was only one that spent any time to speak of in the house, and he couldn't wait to get back outside. The general consensus of the time, right or wrong, was that bird dogs' noses would be adversely affected by being kept indoors. With the number of dogs that I was working most of the time, I'd have needed a lot bigger house than I have to keep them all inside.

I want to build a kind of combination of a stantion and a working/ squeeze chute for my Boer goats. I thought I would make it lower to the ground than the dairy goat milk stand, but up enough to help me work, or with a ramp. I have not come up with a good way to make it squeeze though, and am open to suggestions. The other thought was to make the head gate and feed pan along with one side solid. Since I have not figured out squeeze maybe the second side could be like a crib that comes up to enclose the second side with a butt strap. I figured it could bolt in place unless someone can give me another idea. Thanks guys!

ADDING... I also have some Crele Orphington eggs being laid, HOWEVER there is an icelandic roo in there as well, but I doubt if that little guy presses his luck with the big bad crele roo... but what do I know. I know the big roo kicks the poor lil guys butt and the crele need a new coop uggggg

OOOH WEEEE How much you ship them for? Do you ship? lol, I would love some Creole orpington, OE and Marans!!! Love them all! I definitely need to add some more color to my egg basket~!

I have just reached a hatch rate of about 70%!!!!!!

How do you determine your hatch rate? I had 16 eggs set, ended up tossing 5, total of 11 chicks successfully hatched!

I've always done as how many started developing to how many hatched. Better judge of actual incubation technique, I think.
