Quote: No way!!! I wont even sell dogs to be outside dogs. I need to have them with me, I am always playing with them and holding them its what makes my pups so much more people like and everyone loves them, we have several pup owners who now have two three and four of our pups grown out. I am proud to rraise them the way I do. I weigh them twice a day the first week and then once a day there till four and then weekly,
I also use the U.S. Military Super dog program! ( In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects.)
And teach them simple manners no biting and so much more. no way they going outside unless its heated area and a living area for me to be with thme. which I will add is in my dream kennel

whut???
Nothing. I simply offered what I'd do, based on 40 years experience. Our philosophies on raising dogs are obviously different, and I've no problem with that. To each their own.
yes and I explained mine back to you lol, I was not offended at all, you should know me better than that. I raise pets in general, and some take hunting but they are still house pets. I do my best to make a good inside companion for families.
No problem, you just caught me a little off guard. I've been fighting my new computer (that I just got out of the shop this morning) all day, & wasn't in the best frame of mind when you replied to my earlier post. Sorry if my frustration showed through when I replied back.
Where your dogs are pets, mine were tools. That's not to say they weren't loved, by any means, but there was only one that spent any time to speak of in the house, and he couldn't wait to get back outside. The general consensus of the time, right or wrong, was that bird dogs' noses would be adversely affected by being kept indoors. With the number of dogs that I was working most of the time, I'd have needed a lot bigger house than I have to keep them all inside.
OOOH WEEEE How much you ship them for? Do you ship? lol, I would love some Creole orpington, OE and Marans!!! Love them all! I definitely need to add some more color to my egg basket~!
Anyone need any OE, green, grey eggs to hatch? And whatever the BCM hen lays?

How do you determine your hatch rate? I had 16 eggs set, ended up tossing 5, total of 11 chicks successfully hatched!
