An omelet is a good idea. Use the oldest ones. Those wouldn't likely hatch anyway and testing by incubating probably wouldn't tell you anything on the old ones.I am fertility testing my home grown Ayam cemani eggs.![]()
DH suggested an omlet to fertility test them![]()
The oldest are 2+ weeks old by now. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully that river moves south and knocks out more of the CA drought.Good. Getting ready for another atmospheric river to hit tomorrow. How's thing on your side. ...
Only 4? Regardless of the direction I face, I can see 4 or more.It is going to be a bad day!
I just saw 4 squirrels in the yard. I may have to spend the day hunting them down, torturing them to see where the rest are hiding and then dragging them to the compost pile!
Not hovering over the top of the chicks is the best reason for an elevated brooder. Plus the bending over thing.- Ant Farm
Well if you remember, I'd love to know who has them. I already got scammed with 24 eggs I bought off eBay for $50. None hatched. And only one barely developed.![]()
Howdy folks! Good news on my front, my father-in-law is buying Husband's grandfather's house. Husband is getting a massive pay raise so he can afford to renovate the place, which means I get free reign over the design!
Which of course means new coop (made to match the house!) and more room for MORE CHICKENSSSSSSe
But in all seriousness, we'll be able to have room for the critters and the small people to run about and I'll be able to have a house with a useable kitchen. Also it'll have a modernized layout instead of the bass-akwards layouts older homes here have. I'm really excited, can ya tell???

Thanks, MC! I needed that!!!!
Agree with Chaos! I have always loved those stackable brooders. I was in Lowes the other day, and there was a metal rack with wide shelves. My first thought was "I could get three brooders in there"!!!

Here, too!!!![]()
That actually sounds like fun - too bad I have to work. Get one for me!!!
