EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I am so relieved you were able to salvage the hatch when your power went out!!!!! They're adorable!!! (Though, as always, I'm partial to the Naked Necks...) :love

Me too 9 NN in the bunch. Wife's friend wants some. Maybe the four she saved. :lau I doubt it.

So cute!!!

Thanks. That box was the holding pen while I cleaned up the brooder that is still inside due to the wife's new found concerns with them out side in the barn and the possibility of the power going out. Although tonight and tomorrow we have a good chance of it going out. 50-60 mile an hour winds in the valley. Which means where we are at will see that and more.

Quote: By how big the tuft of down on the front of the neck is. His is NN because of the tiny tufts. Mine are Nn and have big tufts (will have more feathers on neck and chest as adults).

This photo shows Tank (a NN) in front, and a Nn (I forget who) behind to the right. The black one to the left is also Nn. See how Tank has only a couple tufts on his neck, and his upper chest is so bare?

Yikes. Got any hot water bottles?

Hatching North American house hippos now, eh? Where are the hamsters?
Wait wait wait, huh? Hippos, Eggplants.... in bators for hatching? Is this some like inside coding for a secret breeding project, or just some sort of silly antics led by some crazy chicken egg hatching folk? LOLOLOL

You're not the first to tell me that, either online or in real life!

Silly antics, and a thread joke. MC hatches all sorts of stuff....
Like this? Although a few weeks ago it was much taller. My little lawn mowers have been hard at work.

Yes and we'll probably need them. Last time she heated water on the BBQ.

Yes it does. Besides in June mine will be brown and dry and a huge fire problem. Have to get them penned in all around the place this year. Wonder how well the electric net fence works
