Yes and it's all running to the sea not stored. The lake near us is only for flood control not storage. The environmentals kept the storage lake from being built. Huge issue here.

Maple's feet are turning purple and black. Rewrapping the left foot is obviously painful now- She struggles to get free whenever the new bandage starts getting tightened.

It's going...slipping & sliding in the mud, & rain all day tomorrow, but better than plowing paths in the snow, I guess. I don't know how you guys in "cold country" put up with so much of it

Dry powder snow issue not bad at all.... Isn't heavy, and not slippery.... It's when it hovers near freezing and makes heavy, wet, icky snow that one counts down the days 'til June.

Ice auger.... It's getting old( I've had it 25 years) still works okay.... I rebuilt the carb a few years ago.... I think I'm gonna get either a new propane one or electric.... The only bad thing about electric is how long till I need to replace the batteries.... With propane is nice not to have to mess with gas or oil. And they are four stroke.... But i have bad shoulders and think electric would be nice cuz no pull starting.....

I moved the babies to the big brooder early today, so I just finished putting them "to bed" (watching that they could find their way to the heating pad if needed). I dimmed the lights but left one on for low light so they can find their way around if they need to.

Just winding down for the night...
