EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Welcome
Does your Hygrometer calibrated?

Wait some more hour and if it doesn't go down to 40%-45% open the incubator lid for several minutes to let the humidity go out.

I don't know if the hygrometer was calibrated? I assumed it was when I opened the box. Maybe I should get another. I did add another thermometer so that part is accurate.

Wonder who gets custody of any children from the marriage should one of the parents die prematurely.

I am hatching my 1st batch and today is day one. The temps are good but humidity is at 70 so I removed the water at around hour 2. But the humidity isn't going down. The humidity where I live is normal. What should I do?
Welcome to BYC!!!

It is not unusual for the humidity to spike when new eggs are put in. Do you disinfect your eggs? I do and the moisture on the shells will spike it.

Welcome to our thread. How many and what did you set? Ask any questions we will try to help. Just interrupt our chatter any time. When you have time check out the notes section on the first page. Insomnia or waiting on eggs like water to boil reading with tons of helpful information. :fl. Good luck!
