No pegasi?

Hello!
I am currently breeding my ducks, hope to start storing eggs at the very end of this month. I have my anconas 1 boy, 2 girls, in a seperate small pen. My magpie boy and girl in the big pen, with a black runner girl. My Campbells are in the big pen to, but I'm not going to be incubating eggs from them. I am currently getting an egg a day, from an ancona. I cracked open today's egg to check fertility. I don't think it is. But just wondering if you think otherwise. Here's the pic.

I am wondering how many fertile eggs does a girl usually have from one mating? I've seen my ancona boy mating. Not the Magpie yet though, he's been doing courtship displays however. Just waiting for the rest of the girls to start laying, and for my magpie drake to get going. Any advice?
Welcome!

Banty sweets, sorry so long, I ran to hershey to take her stool in for testing (more than you need to know right?) anyways, mom stayed here to watch her and the sick puppy, Hershey is about 50 minutes from here, anyways long story short..... she is in the hospital.

I can tell!

Came home to a new baby. One of Polly's chicks - Nn and rose combed, all fluffy and dry so likely hatched this morning (it was the egg that pipped overnight). All other eggs pipped except for one, so fluffy baby nugget has to wait. S/he's definitely more comfortable in the basket covered by the net bag than the ones that were just in the bag, who were sort of freaked out.

Quote: oh WOW!!! already!! how cute!!!! these are the fainting goats? How is momma and the kiddos? do you have any issues kidding in winter? We had little to no snow this year, just teasers. I dont think my percy likes girls. I have four nigerian dwarfs, a bit too spoiled though. I see now why they are called kids!!!

So turns out that Husband's grandpa (who is going into a home soon) has three chickens left (one really handsome rooster and two bantam baby girls) and if we don't take them then they die.

SO GUESS WHAT WE'RE GETTING TOMORROW. We plan on giving them dewormer and a bath in antiparasitic soap as well as a full health checkup before we even begin thinking of integrating. Thankfully they come with their own coop and we'll have room for everyone. Plus it'll make it easier to have everyone all playing nice before we move.
so nice of you to take them on hippie!! what kind of bantams?

Pancreatitis? She might need a CT if they can't get an answer with the ultrasound. If it's pancreatitis (sounds like it from what you say), it's serious, so I'm glad she's in the hospital.
