Quiet this morning - are folks sleeping in?

I sort of wish I was - I sort of want to go back to bed now that the new babies are in the brooder, but I'm baking bread, and then chores beckon....

Morning! SeeYa Later
I woke up to babies in the 'bator! One Puppy egg has not pipped (and it was one of two that did not have draw down at 18 days). Today is day 21, so I'll give it the rest of the day to declare itself before pulling the plug. (Sorry for the blurry picture.)

Everyone is now happily sleeping under the MHP.

You know this thread - it's quiet 'til it isn't - then hold on to your hat!

@Fire Ant Farm

I didn't tell hubby I was putting eggs in the bator.... when he got home, I told him "look what your daughter did."

She totally took all the credit, for it, too. LOL she likes chickies, so she was all gung ho for them in the bator.

All he said was "cool"

If I had done it and she hadn't been gung ho, I totally would have gotten the "more chickens?" lecture. I'm not above letting the little girl who's got him wrapped around her finger, keep the peace. LOL

Sad isn't it? BUT it is still better than living the land of hot and muggy. We will just struggle through.
It sure is!!
Iceland is not exactly a nice place to keep chickens in, unless you like having a bunch of chicks next to your reindeer poo powered stove...

you are so bad
we believe so, was six days after shots, had high fever and weak hind quarters, noticed rash on belly thought was from fever, started prednisone and cephlexin but not high dosage, by day three she was paralyzed, after day six she was on high pred dosage and doxy and she started to crawl and move her legs, she got rashes and oozing ears really bad and was really laid back one day so we upped pred again and switched back to cephlexiun, I did notice all this before her snout started showing blistering signs. Today she is walking better but her glands are huge she has huge knuckles in her legs, praying the pred works and kicks this out, I am told it could be a long road ahead for her, poor thing is only nine weeks tomorrow.
