EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Your little girl is awesome - she's going to be president one day!!!!

:ya

Yikes!!!! Sounds like that's probably jumped the line in your to do list...
Thanks! Yup - staggered by a week. But this is the last of it until fall or next year. This particular little hatch, the chicks are completely in love with me and wanting to sit in my hand. Very very cute. :love

Thanks for the tip on the winter squash - I'll definitely see how much I can grow this year. (I have so much chicken stuff going on, it's been hard to keep up with tending the garden these days...)

:hugs  Bowel rest will help for a lot of the things this could be, so maybe she'll be able to start doing better. Hoping. :fl

I sorta actually DID go back to bed for a while after the bread was done. Now I have so many random chores to do that I'm paralyzed thinking about it, so I am at my desk trying to arrange them in some sort of order on a list...

- Ant Farm

Same here on the list. I've doubled the brooder for the now 18 chicks. One of the NN that hatched last had to be culled. The rope light is working great, almost too warm.

I'm considering an August hatch of my altsteriers. Too many chickens out there right now.

Lot of plans for plants with extra protein. Comfrey is just now coming up.

ROFL!!
still cant believe that you got a bunny, are you going to house train it?
and i see that your tom is starting to display, thats awesome
HE stops displaying if I get too close to him to take pictures. LOL the turd. I had to sneak up on him to catch him all puffed up like that. LOL

His name is Cuddle buns... and I got him a litter box pan for his cage, to see if he can learn to use it. I need to put the new cage together and put it outside for him and see if he can get the hang of it. If he can, he can come live inside.... he can't be lose though, we have a 26lbs cat who'd torture him.... and I don't trust the dogs not to grab him if he gets scared and runs for it inside... not to mention inside rabbits are notorious for chewing cords, even if they potty train. LOL

But for short visits? sure.

yes, i know
i only cover the coated wire, and i stop the coverage about 2" form the end so it doesnt actually touch anything

unless you can think of some other way to get them to not chew on stuff
i keep hoping they chew something that is 220v and get cooked, but so far they have not

Cover it with a pice of gardening irrigation tube.

Back now... No pips. Going to candle. Honestly, I'm not hopeful at all. Guess I'll get Chrissy friends when the local hatchery starts selling lings in spring :fl
