EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

5 of 8 have decent looking AC. I'm just trying to get her as close to 100% as possible. I'm also learning that I'm not a "hands-off" seller.

The BR 20 did a great job on the eggs from my birds. Too good, not shipped though. I would think the flat lay of the mini would do better for shipped eggs. Seeing how far the 20 tilts the eggs I was really worried they would fall out.

Good to have back up from the seller, both guys I got my shipped eggs from helped me as well.

Quote: I used the Brinsea Octagon 20 for some shipped eggs with really bad air cells, and they did well. The turn is so gradual and gentle.

@kajira - I have no idea re: the bead, not a parent. If there really is a bead, it should come out so it doesn't get swallowed or inhaled, but I don't think it's an ER emergency. Maybe call the doctor Monday?

That was my plan.

I hope you have had a good day guys. I have been very busy picking up Fire and Ice and a little companion for him.
@BantyChooks@Fire Ant Farm I have not had time to catch up, but I hope your hatches are going well.

The incubators are all sanitized and boxed up to go back in storage. The hatcher is now unplugged and being sanitized. It's so quiet -- it's kinda sad to walk by and not see eggies in there....

Hey, I even looked it up before posting to make sure it was an accepted word :hit

Oh well, doggies are better for 2' snow drifts anyway.

You need to put more eggs in there! It's hatching season! Incubators should not be in storage again until late fall...

Or maybe that's just my hatching obsession talking lol

So the other day when I wanted to leave, I had to fight my turkeys for my car.... I won... but it involved driving out of my drive way, then getting out of my car and placing them back in the yard before I left. They apparently, liked the ride.

My sex linked laid this spotted egg ;o

This is my big, chubby cat.

My husband has dubbed these cochin's the "gigantic fluff balls."
