Well, I was able to get the second paddock mostly set up for the Eggplant while catching up with my mother on the phone (we always talk during my chicken chores - she is unwillingly learning way too much about keeping chickens!) I still have to tack down the bottom of the fencing with earth staples, but at least it's all laid out and hung in place on the posts, and all the wrestling with the giant roll of fencing is over. I'm beat though, and all scratched up - for some reason most of my weedy stuff has inch-long thorns. It's a Texas thing - yard work is a little like donating blood. (Gloves you say? These thorns LAUGH in the face of gloves.) I need to get the switch over done in the next few days - their current paddock looks like a VERY closely mowed putting green, and I need to get them over before they start digging the roots up.
Oh, and Puppy made a break for it again. I call the second photo, "Puppy on the run".
Having a hot dog, chips, and a beer (Shiner, of course), in honor of the Super Bowl. Not that I'm watching it, of course - I'm watching/listening to Jim Gaffigan specials on Netflix.
If anyone's watching the Super Bowl, please let me know if anything notable happens, so I can have a clue at work tomorrow...
(I think I'm going to take a long hot bath now - I forget who suggested them - mel? But I ordered those bath slats you recommended - they'll be here soon...)
