I have a lady with big cabinets. She keeps half of the hatch. I retain all my HRIR and she takes hers from the EE and BSL chicks.I'm not sure what you mean by "shares". Not that chick-educated, I guess! I have nine eggs, this is my test batch to see if my homemade incubator is a success before I put in as many as will fit. I had just separated my flock out when I decided to do the test batch, so there are 7 brown eggs (Australorp or BO mothers) and 2 blue eggs (EE mothers). The fathers could be BO or EE, I have two roosters. It was just what I could collect in two days. So far, 100% fertility and 100% development! Air cells great! I am hoping to fit at least 40 in for the big hatch, have some friends who want some.
