Hard telling. What type of ducks? I usually run extremely high hatch rates out of my cabinets and hatchers but I screwed the pooch on a hatch of ducks beginning of December. Have absolutely no idea what went on, what caused it or why. Same cabinet and hatcher just rolled a 92% and nothing changed. Something definately went haywire because I lost over 100 Khakis after lockdown. So, not everybody is perfect even though I'm as close as it gets. LOL

Pekin, pekin X Blue Swede, Blue Swede, Mallard X blue Swede and Mallard pekin. (Those are the possibilities I don't know if that's what's in there or not)

Some of those mallard crosses may not make 28 days and hatch day 24-25. I believe that is what you are seeing, right?

Yes, it's was 99 by the fan, 100 in the middle and about 100 to 101 at the far end but never higher than 101.

Is it the ones at the 101 area that are pipping? More heat speeds them up a tad.



Or the breed like Fire said could be tad faster, I know my legbars are slow. Others claim theirs are fast, but mine are 22 days.

I moved them around from day 1, they should have all had about the same. Not really actually it's the ones closer to the middle.

Get that humidity cranked if you haven't already. You will just be locked down longer if some of those others run longer, don't quit too early on them thinking they are done. . Typical mallard x hatching.
