Well, 1934 is the rise of Hitler. Was he a Jew?A Riddle to sharpen your brain in this wonderful day.
At one of the evening German newspaper, in December 1934 was written an article, and this
Paragraph is from that article :" the honorable Brigadier General Von Schmidt, the hero of WW1
was involved in a train accident, and died from his wounds. The funeral will be at the main Berlin
Cemetery the public is invited to give tribute to his memory "
What is the problem here?

Quote: So sorry to be cryptic. It stands for "Mama Heating Pad", after a method some folks use to create a sort of "artificial hen" with a heating pad. It works very well, and it works well outside in the cold as well. There's a giant thread about it that Blooie started. I prefer it by far, compared to heating lamps or panels. I think it leads to more calm and well adjusted chicks.
Quote: Nope - not a lot of those here (though I got a hug from @kajira , and her kids are adorable and wonderful and I'm pretty sure I got a hug or two there as well). Love me those chicken hugs.

(There's a reason her name is Sweetie.)

Thanks, MC! Good morning!
Quote: Yep, very true. But I live in one of the friendliest cities in the country, we say hi and start conversations with strangers and in checkout lines, let each other into traffic, etc. And there's more hugging with non-family than there might be in other parts of the country (culturally). (I should point out that when I say city, I mean roughly 2.4 million people in the metro area - Banti thought a city was 3000, which is about the size of a high school here.)![]()
DaxI know what you mean. When I was reading back about skunks, I was reminded of my sweet though somewhat stupid greyhound Daisy, who never learned and got sprayed in the face multiple times, poor thing. No one wanted to adopt her because she was black - it's bizarre, but for some reason folks who adopt greyhounds don't like to adopt the black ones. She needed to be near me all the time, and used to follow me to the bathroom and stand in the door, then follow me to the laundry room and watch me load the washer or dryer... I had dog beds in every room. She had it rough and died before her time of an inflammatory bowel disease issue. I pulled up her photo and found myself tearing up - and it's been about or 9 years since she died at age 7.![]()

This is a little better now. I usually am online when eating or taking a break, and when mellowing out after work if I'm not grading assignments or something... My computer is in the den, and I usually have the TV on running a movie or documentary and I sit but he computer and sort of split my attention. (But it is true that I would likely get more done if I spent less time on here.)![]()
Thanks for the update, Mike. Please let her know I'm praying for her and sending healing vibes.I heard a little from Sally. She is still in recovery, oxygen level won't stay up, can't swallow, sore, but her shoulder doesn't hurt anymore.
Time to get some things done. BBL![]()
Quote: I'm not ready for any marathons yet,but I'm getting there. Low BP was making me dizzy (more so than normal, Chaos), but I'm told that's normal after major surgery. Eyes are still blue, so I guess I was a bit low.
