It's been a long day. Bill has yet to be to sleep from working midnights. He took the whole day to clean my coops and help with the garage and cages

So I too will call it a night and rise and shine early.... PS Family Farm and Home has chicks in....

I'm setting some eggs tonight 7 lavender ameraucanas, 8 CCL, 4 silkies and a doz turkeys. Basically a test run from my breeding pens to check fertility (except the turkeys, I KNOW they're fertile lol). They didn't lay all that great this week but today's warm weather seems to have had an impact since I got more than usual. Hopefully, it's a new trend and I have a bunch more to set next Friday

I'm back from going to my seed company (King's Seeds) to get seed for the "pasture" in the paddocks (going with a mix of short native grasses, millet and clover this time around). They've been around a long time. Alas, they are only open M-F, 8-5, so I can only go when I have taken off work. (Glad I went, but it ate up some sunshine-time.) More to do tomorrow now...





I'm going to "rest my eyes" for just a little bit - traffic takes it out of me (I'm not usually in it). Then back to work...

Saw that our TSC is expecting the first shipment on the 21st. Seems about a month earlier than last year.
