EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

No biggie; I'll live. You ever get anything approaching normal coloration back in that left hand of yours?
Nope

Now it is going cold and numb on top of changing colors and when it comes back to life the pain has been excruciating
hit.gif
after being told it was looking better in OT and I rated the pain a 5 I realized it was that because it was going "dead". I made the therapist feel it and she told me it was "normal".. well not completely normal but you know... No actually I dont know because I dont thing you want the nurse that has the hand that dies inserting your IV, lifting your loved one, etc.....
somad.gif
that's why i understand the whole itch/sleep thing but mine is pain. Being off I am fortunate to nap mid day if I don't sleep at night. We will chat more tomorrow as I am pretty worn out today and took my tylenol pms and naproxen. have to seize the moment and fall asleep before it passes

Do you guys want a good evening laugh??? While secretly watching a "3 way silkie fight" - 3 little fuzzballs bouncing off each other- I was ambushed by both of my 'troubled" roos

I saw the weaker one coming at me and smirked and then A-hole joined in from behind

I have the worst leg scars from him

I bet he'd be delicious...

In all seriousness - I like Snape as a flock leader and a protector, and he has never made me bleed (well, he got my lip once, but that was my mistake). But he is very protective of his girls, and will make runs at me sometimes when I'm in the coop refilling the feeder. I just know to never ever have my back to him. I also don't let him get away with even a feint toward me - if I don't have the super soaker (I never seem to when it happens), I stand tall and spread my arms and kinda do "the Frankenstein" and crowd his space - he very quickly displays the appropriate submissive behavior. If I didn't do this, he'd get bolder...

Our power is out... awesome.

My thoughts exactly - the perfect solution for a rooster who's being a jerk and you don't want to eat him. Dumbledore still recognizes it when I reach for it - haven't actually had to use it in over a year... (I should probably make sure it's still loaded.)

I may try that out, esp. the decaf. I'm actually considering building myself a rocket stove out of fire bricks outside, and was thinking I could roast coffee outside... You'll have to remind me what technique you use to roast. (Do you store the green beans? How well do they store?)
37 out of 38 just went into lockdown.

Well, today's been a fight the whole way through - time to give up and go to sleep and hope things start better tomorrow. See you guys on the flip side!

I've been buying decaf for a while now, mainly coz I get most coffee cravings at night.... Not perzactly good to be guzzling caffeine @ 10:30

Why?

Sure hope Abi never ends up in the cardiac wing

:gig No worries. I'll die at work around 57 or so like everyone else in my family.

Sorry fell asleep. Looking back I guess it did spook him a bit.

Green Coffee beans store on shelf in pantry until you need them. I've never had them go bad. I use an oven especially for roasting. Different roasts are gauged by the crack of the bean as it gets hotter. So whatever you used to roast them you'll need to hear the crack to do it the best.
