But I've read enough about your legbars and their backgrounds (lines, etc.) that whenever my current legbars play out (alas, they are pets), if I decide I want new ones (that's a big if), I may contact you for eggs.

Glad you're safe so far.

You know, I've finally gotten fed up with this billion-gallons-in-a-day followed by no-rain-for-months chit, and am starting to get serious about rainwater harvest and storage. (I wonder how much I REALLY could have gotten out the the last storm!). I've decided that I'm going to try to run my garden on collected rainwater this year, and if it goes well, I'll filter and use collected rainwater for the chickens as well. I have a metal roof, one of the "safe" ones for rainwater collection. and I'm also getting some Rainsaucers to tie on to the tops of some Brute trash cans I already have, mounted in the garden. @Pensmaster - thought you might be interested - it's at rainsaucers.com. Found them while reading a book about emergency water storage (between Flint, MI, intermittent boil orders through the country, fracking, and the decrepit state of my pipes, water storage and purification is on my mind lately). There is an even larger capacity one, but it's not as wind resistant and more pricey, so I'm hesitant... I have a Berkley water purification system on the way, and some water storage containers, so I think I'd be mostly all set. Reduction in my water bill between the garden and the birds would easily pay for most of it in a year or two.

I am sorry, but I give up on catching up. I fell asleep trying last night.
@10AcreChick
@chicken hawk 33
@NaJoBeLeHow did/are your hatches turning out?

We got 68/77 that went into lockdown.
Here they are well, my share. This is easier than @Akrnaf2's riddle. Do you see what I saw is wrong with this picture right away? Besides the fact that my mhp won't be ready until tomorrow?

@PensmasterHow would you use the lights with the tiny ones?

Gosh now it's raining buckets. We were at 3" before I fed chickens. I notice about an inch in the bottom of a bucket that I always empty while feeding grain. It's rained a good inch since then. Really hope the dam holds. I'm expecting a bulletin any time now saying those poor folk need to evacuate again. They were told that it was a possibility.
I have hooked up 8 55 gallon plastic drums that I got from a friend. They were full last year never used them as the canal water didn't dry up as projected.
They are full again. I'm not sure how much water it would take for a plant. Tomato is supposed to take quite a bit if I remember correctly.

Put a towel over the top of it. It's still plenty warm.

I had saved a bunch of old towels so I didn't care if it got dirty.

Plug it in first to get it warm and flexible. If that's a cardboard box cut a small hole at one corner zig zag it through and bring extra out the other side. You won't need the whole rope for this size box.

It is a four plus foot Tupper. Did you use it without a lamp? What is your inside temperature like when you do/did?
