EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Been a long time since I been here. Been way to busy to chat. I butchered last weekend. I still have the quail, added some turkeys, 7 beef cows and currently about 40 chickens, just finished some custom hatching and filled the incubator with my own chicken eggs. Of course the only reason I stop by is because I need something. There seems to be a high demand in my area for flock testers. Does anyone know what I have to do to become one? Hoping it is less than a Ph.D. In veterinary medicine.

Hey hey hey!

Sally is/was a tester; might wanna shoot her a PM. Ain't too hard, I think.

Update: My one internal pip is still internally pipped another is moving around probably trying to turn and or internally pip. So some progress I guess.

My humidity has been holding at 75 all day. Since I wasn't showing any external pips this morning, I topped the water pot off to the top. Humidity was 71 just now when I locked things down for the night.

How low can I safely go before I HAVE to risk opening things up to top off the water again? The Brinsea manual says as long as you don't open the lid more frequently than every 6 hours you can top it off. Does that mean even if there are active external pips present?

I don't suppose you have any pics for those of us with cabin fever?

I only had one fuzzy pic which I deleted, I do however have this.

I hatch @ 60-65 no problems, usually top off at 63. Not really sure on the last one, coz I've never used a brinsea. I think the way they open is such that it's worse to open them than the coolers you can just crack a lid on.
