Wonder if they'd take care of the black fly problem?
Doubt it, LOL!

If they fly at night I would say so. Below is copied off internet

An ordinary brown bat can eat up to 100 percent of their body weight each night, which is about 1/2 ounce. They consume approximately 1,200 insects per hour. Insects including moths, gnats, crickets, beetles, locusts, mosquitoes, fruit flies and other bugs are frequently eaten by bats.

I had approximately 150 of them before the mouth fungus got to them. Now about 50 hang out Hopefully more this year.

They're most active in the day time, sadly.

Just looked them up.

Mosquito traps are supposed to work. I don't suppose a regular fly trap would.

Mowing in blackfly season is an absolute misery.

Now I feel a lot better about the rest of winter. Potholes and ruts are all filled in with snow too, so driving is pretty great too...

Yeah... Not envious anymore. Thanks! :ya
