EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I have a 10x10 coop that is empty most of the year. Built a sperate one for Cornish cross just cause it is so much easier to have them on there own. It pains me to see it empty 40+ weeks out of the year, but it works so well for them.

puppy is going to a good home, if that is yours make plans to pick her up in about eight weeks

OMG that is so cute it should be illegal

not me... I'm in trouble when hubby gets home (unless by some miracle he doesn't look in the brooder). I went into tractor supply without adult supervision tonight and these 6 little meaties were all that were left. I couldn't just leave without them! They've made themselves at home already, all stretched out and napping :)
How come every tractor supply but ours has chicks and ducks!!!????? :rant

Hmmm according to my profile no new ovations since last night....just a little bump in the road or did 1 of my boys adjust my settings for me. I am about as good at IT as an elephant is at brooding.

Elephants brood for 2 years

build it bigger and keep the hay on 1 st story lofting hay sucks. When I build a barn I plan to pull in full hand stacked kicker rakes and unload them as I feed. 2 less times you have to touch a bale is worth a bigger building in my book. But I have worked construction the better part of my life and have full access to a sawmill. Just lack the rest of the $ and my back is shot and the boys backs are not strong enough yet....someday.

Oooh weeee where have you been all my chicken rearing life? I need someone that thinks like you and has the skills to back it up too...
