There were Siamese and Siamese mixes at the humane society when I went there (lo these many years ago) - possibly because we're a big city, more likely to have them. Organization or individual? PM me about it...

It depends on what you want and what these are. The most common complaint I seem to see/ read about Marans is "But they are supposed to lay dark brown eggs! Mine don't lay dark eggs!" You really have to select for dark eggs and KEEP selecting for dark eggs. The nice thing is that if you're getting hatching eggs, you'll get to see the eggs. You can then decide on whether they are dark enough for your wants/tastes (as they should be representative of the color you'll then get form your hatched birds).
