Step away for 30 minutes and the post count goes through the roof.

@Sally Sunshine
Sorry you've got a flu bug but schweet on the turkeys. Turkeys scare me and after reading yalls discussion they seem fairly messy. Bummer on the Marans being messy, I thought those might be on my potentials list.
marans, dont get in bulk two hens like I wanted would have been good nuff, shoulda sold the rest of them as chicks

thanks

I like mine better than my chickens..

I gave them 2x6s for roosts to try and keep the toes from freezing..

And mine fly all the time, because they can. Unbelievable a huge bird can fly so High, fast and far.
Mine fly across the yard to follow me, and it's like this trail of flying, gigantic birds that may, or may not ram into you if they mis calculate their landing.

Seeing a 40ish lbs bird flying straight at you, in hopes that you have food, is a little whacky.

our fedex driver is scared of them. LOL

GOOD MORNING, COFFEE CREW! IT'S FRIDAY!

Thank you beautiful! I needed that!

I just picked up the S&G NN chicks from the post office. They had a rough ride - left Idaho on Tuesday, and arrived at the post office this morning. There was Grogel in the box, and they were snug for warmth, but one didn't make the trip, and a few look a bit rough (and I wonder if they will survive). Others look mostly ok, but all were chilled. I was in such a rush to get each one a sip of water and then into the warmth under the MHP, I didn't even count them (there were supposed to be 25, seemed about right). They are now quietly warming up, and the occasional strong one is popping out already for more water and some food. I also turned up the heat in the house they are in to help a bit.

Here they are warming up (with a few trolling around for feed):

So cute, I hope they all pull through!

I found a kitten, I like, that seems like he'd be a good fit for me - I just need to talk Kristin into grabbing him since the lady's giving him away free, before someone else snags him so I can arrange to pick him up.

8 month old Lynx point siamese.

Hope you get him! We have a lavender point Siamese, super sweet girl. She loves to climb and be at the highest point (including my shoulders!).

I always tell people they are like big feathered dogs, that can fly.

Mine follow me everywhere because they love me!

I am back for a few seconds. I have been counting and marking chicks that leave tomorrow.

I hatched my first batch of EE for the year.

The hybrid vigor really shows itself with them. I hatch so many pure lines and a ton of Legbars, they are healthy and all, but man these Easter Eggers can kick their butts.
