EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Didn't kill enough whitetail deer this year they ran thru the fence again and the beef got out again and I put them back in again and fixed fence again and Fed hay again and filled the stock tank again.

You must be sneaking down to the civilized area and stealing mine, I am constantly unable to find them.

Civilised area?! :smack

What do you use for bedding?

Does it look like she could have gotten poked?

How old of a bird?  IS she blind in that eye?

Maybe reaction to a snow skeeter?

Pine shavings, dunno. I will check her more tomorrow when she comes down for food.

She'll be two in a few months. Likely blind, she turns her head the other way to see me if I come close.

I was gonna sell her in the next batch of birds that went off, didn't wish to keep her.... But I sure can't sell her now. :barnie

I have one with a similar eye or was, it dried up and she does fine now, (been about a year). She is blind as the referees the packers hire when they play the Vikings in the cheesedome.

She does fine as long as nothing sneaks up on her left side. It does make it easier for me to catch her. I thought about only raising one eyed chickens so I ever had to chase them.

I figured she got poked in the eye. Maybe they were playing with Red Ryder BB guns. Who knows.

Get 'im, whites!

Maybe? Thing is, I saw she had bubbles in that eye a week or so ago, but wrote it off as MG and did nothing coz it gets better on its own. Now it's swollen and totally covered by bubbles.
