I read up a lot on his toads. I would like (not sure I ready to accept) the challenge of keeping Cornish cross. I need to do more research and right now all my time to research is stuck in a sick chicken and the marans and Olive eggers incubating (new breed to me and purchased local). Ok enough chit chat for awhile need to haul wood and do some chores and get more upset everytime I walk past the smashed surburban.
I know, right?! And now looking at a house and 25 acres just outside the city limits with 25 acres. City water AND well water, barn, RV hookups, clear pastures, 14 horse stalls several fences areas, large corral, all mineral rights. House is ugly but livable... $314,000. Only 34 minutes commute to work. Makes me want to drive by and check out the area. Everyone around here wants to live north, in the Hill Country, and that land is expensive - but it's rocky poor soil. The good land agriculture-wise is south side, but that's the less fancy part of town, so property values are lower. Stupid.
5 sons sorry about the deer. Really glad he didn't come inside the car. My friend at work had a Canadian Goose hit his car on the top. $1200 damage I think was the final results
Good morning Abi coffees not been regular these days.
The list is huge today. Including getting numbers down on chickens and the garden seeds are coming up. As well as weeds. We are in the 70's this week for the first time this year and growth is tremendous.
The grass (well, weeds that I call grass) is growing so fast, over knee high in places already!!! It's damp today, so I haven't gotten my mower, but my neighbor is out there whacking away with his. Got all the chicken chores done this AM. Still have a long list, but taking a break...
Wow - she's a pro! I have a couple that threaten to go broody each year, but it's always when I don't want chicks or when it'll be too hot for them to be safe doing it. Maybe I'll let one try one year.
I do have to admit something.... I carry nails in my pockets. The coop falls apart often enough I got tired of running in to get nails and started carrying 'em around. Haven't found pocket duck tape yet or I'd carry that too.
Not sure, but I would bet TSC is closer from there than it is from here... It's essentially across town from me - I'm north, this is south. The grass/weeds are about knee high and still too wet as well. I'll probably be scraping grass later today. I used some weed cover in areas of my garden that I'm not happy with and need to get it out. The rooster that I butchered of the two rare ones had the same structure just had a floppy comb. From all I've read they are supposed to be straight. So in about a week I'll see if taste wise they are keepers. He's just over a year though so in all fairness I'll have to keep that in mind.
I've already gathered my harvest of frozen eggs for the day. I'm trying to get them before they freeze coz I finally found a place to sell eggs. I can get $3.00 for chooks and more for dux... So selling 5 coz a week would pay for feed. Already sold two yesterday.
Yes but you should know that Bubbles is a professor in Biology and she have a secret laboratorie under the north pole Ice cap (wich is melting every day due to GW! ) in which, by a very successful genetic engineering procedure (that she invented by herself! ) she is cloning millions upon millions of Ducks from her last mink attack survivor leg! In which, when the time will suit her, she will send to Ralphie farm!
