Nope, not wrong, 'though it's some cooler in the mountains, I'd think.
Some beautiful areas to be found in both states, away from the heavily populated cities.
True that.

I'm full of surprises.
It's hotter here, we hit 90 in June, just goes up after that and don't come down till November.

Quote: It's all in what your body's used to. The day I left north TX in August of '65; the temp was 104* or 114*...can't remember which anymore, but I was comfortable. Got off the plane in D.C. that evening into 85*; thought I was gonna die before I got home....humidity.

90 in JUNE???
It went to 90° maybe once or twice last summer. Everyone stayed inside... There were heat warnings out.
Edit: Yes, southerners, you're allowed to laugh..

True, the humidity makes you feel like your death is coming quickly much more than heat does.

When I was a kid Mom always made my birthday cake with a hard caramel icing . I'm talking icing that would break off in chunks, like peanut brittle. Try as she might, DW can't come close. She thought it might have been an OOPS on Mom's part, but she repeated it year after year.
I'd like to have a recipe if any of you have one.
