I have 500 mg niacin tablets. I know it's 100 mg per gallon, but I'm using a quart waterer for now, so that's 25 mg in the waterer, but I can't measure that. I'm thinking If I grind one pill up, a small pinch should be good. Do you think that's good?
Or...
I have this
i dont measure

i just sprinkle it on their food
Stopped by the post office on way home. They will call me when the eggs come in. Although they are closed weekends they have a will call. Tracking has it there tomorrow.

Fun group of people there. They gets eggs and chicks quite often.
awesome!!
Oh my sour crop chicken is doing much better. 2 more days of acidified cooper sulphate and need to decide if I am going to worm.
Great news!!

I've given eggs to people (for eating), and they worry that if they don't get them in the fridge, they'll hatch.

I am not a waterfowl lover and my dad just told me he wants geese in his pond. I tried talking him into ducks, but thinks geese are more predator proof. He doesn't plan on keeping them over the winter. So now I get to research breeds any suggestions?
i hear people use geese to watch over their ducks, Sally has an american buff
i want sebbies
Need help. The humidity is was at eighty. I barely opened the bator to let some out. How do i lower it?
its fine, as they dry it will drop
Morning...

Can;t sleep so I got up to check on the chicks.

I had a huge hatch the last couple days and it appears it is not over. I pulled about 130 chicks out of the hatchers last night ( maybe more) I have shipping boxes full but they all leave this morning so I am not worried about where to put them.

ADVICE TO PEOPLE HATCHING BIRDS ..Do not assume you can tell the difference between Polish chicks and Appenzeller Spitzenhuaben chicks. I hatched them in the same tray with some Doms, and did not divide them. It took me a half hour to figure out which were the Polish and which the Spitzes. I think I have it right. They will never be in the same tray again. Also I think I have an EE marked as an Yokohama. I thought I saw a chick jump over the back end of the tray. When I pulled the one out under it, (the Yokohama tray) I had a chick in it that was marked identical to a Yokohama. but a tad larger, I have had larger Yokohamas so I am not sure what it is right now.

Another thin for you hatchers,,,, When I empty a tray I set the tray on a stand. Then stack the trays on top of each other. I saw I had a couple that were pipped so I put all 5 trays back in the hatcher. I was thinking I had a poor hatch. When I checked a few minutes ago the hatcher is full of chicks again. The eggs sat out of the hatcher for over an hour while I unloaded and tagged the chicks. Never give up on eggs. Unless they are Dux eggs.

I was thinking the Legbars were a terrible hatch this time, but I know they take longer than other chicks, now I have a full tray of legbars again!..

Also I have countered the evil the DUX hatchers cause. I hatch 2 turkeys, my first turkeys of the year! 2 blues they are so cute with their bug eyes and stupid look!
congrats on the great hatch!
wheres the pics of the turkey babies??
Thought I'd wake up to see atleast a little pip but nothing
