EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Lately we've been hearing a LOT of negatives about California, but one of the best things - is that there are NO GATORS!  Only time I've seen a Gator is in the zoo.

Morning everyone!

I have a question for any Brinsea users....I have a kitten that has decided that the tubing for the humidity pump is delicious  I have TWO humidity pumps and the tubing is gone.  Brinsea is out of stock on replacement tubing.  I found, and bought some from another site. (strombergschickens) They haven't even shipped it yet.  Or at least they haven't updated their status.  I've checked fish stores.  The smallest tubing I can find, is too big for the Brinsea.  Does anyone know anything about Strombergs Chickens?  Or where I can find tiny tubing?
How about a vet? Or the stuff Kathy recommends for tubing?

Lol! That was Rob all weekend!

JESS did you candle yet?    I am scared to :hit

I did again last night. I candled at 3-4 days but I didn't want to pull anything. Last night I pulled 2 seramas, 2 icelandics, and 1 crele orpington. Those were the only ones that I was certain that nothing was happening in. A lot of the darker eggs, the air cells are so saddled that I'm not sure if anything is happening out not :/ Guess we'll see what hatches next Friday.

Hello Kathy. I don't know anything about Strombergs chicken. I can check and see how much, if any, I have, and mail you some.
Thanks Mike - I am going to call Strombergs - I couldn't find any information about their shipping. It seems like a good company, they just have minimum information on their webpage. .

I ordered 2. If this turns out to be a good purchase, they had products that Brinsea didn't, and they charged the same price Brinsea did. $3.00. I will let you know what they say. My lock down isn't for 4 days, and I can handle adding water manually - I did for the last hatch...

Hi all! Question about my eggs that I received yesterday. Shipped from TN to WA. I have a few that are already showing really wonky air cells. Eggs were freshly collected. Packaged amazing. Box was in pristine condition. The eggs with already noticeable large, saddle shaped air cells- should I pull them?

I let them sit out on counter for 24 hours. Have taken the incubator (Brinsea Octagon 20 Adv EX) off the turner and will leave off for the next few days. The other eggs I wasn't really able to see into due to color and it being daytime.
