EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Hi all! Question about my eggs that I received yesterday. Shipped from TN to WA. I have a few that are already showing really wonky air cells. Eggs were freshly collected. Packaged amazing. Box was in pristine condition. The eggs with already noticeable large, saddle shaped air cells- should I pull them?

I let them sit out on counter for 24 hours. Have taken the incubator (Brinsea Octagon 20 Adv EX) off the turner and will leave off for the next few days. The other eggs I wasn't really able to see into due to color and it being daytime.
What you are doing sounds great. But I wouldn't pull bad air cells - I've had some really wonky air cells hatch. You never know. Cracked eggs and REALLY porous eggs are some of the things I won't set.

Lol! That was Rob all weekend!
I did again last night. I candled at 3-4 days but I didn't want to pull anything. Last night I pulled 2 seramas, 2 icelandics, and 1 crele orpington. Those were the only ones that I was certain that nothing was happening in. A lot of the darker eggs, the air cells are so saddled that I'm not sure if anything is happening out not :/ Guess we'll see what hatches next Friday.

Lol. That was my brother all last week.

Thanks. I have them in, just have not seen new eggs where I can see air cells like this before! My last batch from her was such a success- and I did have a number of pretty bad air cells. Only one egg didn't hatch and that one DIS just prior to hatching. It was also the one egg with the worst air cells of all 20.

Normally, I have a really hard time even seeing the air cells when I candle them just before placing in the incubator! These 4 are very noticeable. Weird...

OK, I measured, I have just over 4 feet of the stuff.
Hi Mike,

I called Stromberg and the lady that answered was SUPER nice. She pulled up my order and said it says is 'ready to ship". She expects it to ship today. Once it ships she can give me a shipping number. She says she'll email that to me.

Thanks so much for checking - I would hate to take yours - we'll see how fast Stromberg gets me the stuff.

I will keep you posted, and tin foil is and AWESOME idea. I had gotten eggs in this weird foam tubing. I was trying to figure out how to use that, but it was too heavy.
my cats have issues with power cords, and chargers, dvd cords etc
i go through a LOT of tin foil
