EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

My male Tom decided he hates boys - including my toddler... so I told hubby he either has to stay penned, or be thanksgiving dinner All the girls are nice, and my tom likes me, but my teenager messed with him enough that he decided he doesn't like boy-children anymore. He leaves the girl-children alone. What a sexist turkey.

Good morning...all

I have a mystery of the world with me today.

I went to the incubators this morning to move my turkey eggs that hatch this week to the hatcher.

I heard a weird sound coming from inside one of the incubators. I was afraid for a few seconds I had pulled an Aurora and forgot to move eggs to the hatcher. I knew this had to be wrong, as I have never made a mistake and that would be one.


I found this inside the incubator running around on the bottom.



This was weird to find in my incubators!

Right now I have her back in her brooder box. She is not happy and calling me some pretty nasty names in chickesse. I have no idea what I am going to do with this marvel of nature. If any of you work for a university willing to study her, come and get her...

I have some good news and bad news. I have over thirty eggs hatched of my neighbors 60 with many still hatching. The thing is my eggs aren't hatching well!!!!!!!
9/30 of my sulmtaler eggs are pipped an one is out. 3 of them are very active but aren't making progress. I think that one might even be dead but almost all the way zipped. Should I help them out right now? I would need to pull out the whole tray with my gqf so I believe that all of my eggs would suffer. Currently I am planning to wait till tomorrow morning but if there is a way to not harm the other eggs I would be grateful.
I just need some help PLEASE.

You are in a pickle, If you open it now you risk killing the unhatched ones with the dreaded heat shrinking....

I just never look until the hatching is done or I am strong enough to let one die,,,

Good luck on whatever you decide. If it is too weak to get out of the egg it is probably not a good bird to keep anyways.

Nope, did not write the wrong date, none of egg around it are dated differently and they are not ready to hatch.. I think it is Voodoo,,or witchcraft myself.
