Really?? Thought they'd be tame enough that you'd like 'em.... My girl was a sweet one, well, whenever she wasn't in the nest boxes. Then she was a beast.

i thought they were ugly, and had no personality
mindless, the girl would ride my FILs shepherd though, theres a picture of that on here, and she would lay in my lap for belly rubs,
the rooster was so big that a hawk (or something) tried to take off with him but dropped him 'cause he was so bib
huge mess of feathers, with chunks of flesh, i thought he was a goner, but i went to the coop and he looked perfectly fine, just a few spots near his tail

Today is day 18 for my eggs. Have not candled them as I usually do, due to family crisis ongoing. Sincerely hoping for a decent hatch, as I could really use some cuteness in the form of brand new fluff butts...
I will candle them tonight when it's dark out and lock em down!

Pretty sure that happens to all large families. My mum just used to say "You, the one in the xxxxx coloured shirt, get over here" instead of bothering with names. Gotta admit I do the same most times....

My parents never called each other by name. My father was engaged to two other women when he proposed to my mother. "Honey" was easier than remembering which he married.
BTW, he named all of us. Unfortunately, he couldn't decide who was getting his sister's name. So he couldn't be sure who was whom.

The clan method works best if you have 3 pairs, but I only have a trio (1 male, 2 females). I will be line breeding them.

So far, I've only got 10 chicks in the brooders, so I've still got a good bit of hatching to do.
