I put 3 babies under her, and left her in a dog crate while she got to know them for a few days. Once she knew who they were, that's when I put them out. LOL

The rooster's been chasing her back to her babies everytime she wanders too far away.... so i'm pleased with him.

I'll say. My rooster wasn't so obliging. That was many years ago so I just raise on my own now. Twice the broody raised hers but they were separate.

Nice, blue for color. I'm slowly loosing my blue egg layers.

About half my flock lays blue or green now. Love them coloured egger birdies

What breed of Rooster? I have a cochin - and he even lets an EE roo hang out with his girls with out attacking him. the EE roo respects him though, despite being 2x his size.

Those flowers by the way are flowers given to me by the couple that gave me their rooster in appreciation I suppose.
They are growing again up by the small pond.
