But I like being outside. Inside gets terrible boring. You can't AC the outdoors, eh? Plus, you have mutant spiders. I don't.

You do get used to it. I freeze in 50-75 degree weather now. You work in the mornings and evenings and lounge in the AC in the afternoon until it cools down again.
You get beautiful sunset and sunrises because of that schedule. And, you can share popsicles with your birds.

Well, you've got hearing loss, and those two normally go hand in hand, so...

There is a child in my bed. This child was starving when she arrived at almost seven. She had an unusually hard time getting to sleep. At nine, I thought she was finally going to sleep. At about 2:30 this child was sobbing on the stairs. Around three I heard her say in her sleep, "Mmmmm! I want cannndy!"
I am hoping she will sleep another two hours.
