I'm with Bubbles.... You all can have those hot temps.... It barely gets in the 80's where I live. A and I Whites have it any other way.
Very few people live where I live.... And that's the way I like it.

I guess peeps living down in the places that could be compared to a grill most times just means more space for us, eh?
 
The one good thing about living south would probably be the easier winter chicken keeping... -40° is a bit hard on the very old and the very young, and if you've got grass year round you can free range 100% of the time.

Don't y'all have to do stuff to keep your birds cool in the summer?

My birds start panting and holding their wings funny at about 75°F, but I figger they're sturdy enough to take the heat as long as I keep water out for 'em..

I offer frozen water for the bird sto lay on in the afternoon, but with the fig tree, and dirt pit my dog digs, the birds manage to stay cool enough.
Birds who are bad for the heat will die off, and the ones who can handle it will survive and reproduce.
