EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I guess my question to actual "educational hatching" must be a no. I can't even find it anymore.

Nothing is a no-no. Ask away but I've never encountered it before after untold numbers of birds, in the thousands. I did hatch a chick with 3 legs once. Hatch enough and you'll encounter almost anything.

Quote: I've heard stories but thankfully in the 16 years i've been in I havent had to encounter the gas chamber.

So after confirmation with some co-workers, it seems as though I'm missing out. Apparently they still do the chamber as part of basic but it must have been down when I went through.
Maybe it was down the same day the obstacle course was for me. I rained that day, so it was cancelled.

Thank you. He is literally chick number 6 that the kids and I have hatched. As odd as it was, I thought perhaps there was a logical explanation...

I was thinking about

But I didn't notice that it the same word! Ther is always something new that confuses me!

No one said English was easy. I'm just glad I learned it first.
It has rules like other languages but there are countless exceptions to the rules.
It is very common in most languages to have exceptions. I think it may be more common in English because we have so many words the come from Greek, Latin, French, German, etc..
Some just need to be memorized. I think the frustrating thing for English as a second language people (including native speakers) are the homonyms vs homophones vs homographs.

You may get a kick out of this - or it will frustrate you more.

Never heard of any part of basic being cancelled because of anything.

I hated the gas mask training days.... My mask would ever seal right.
Guess I was expendable....

That would be bad.

Maybe just some extraneous membrane that developed or a piece of the inner egg membrane.

There are certainly plenty of ways to say something. Have you ever heard of the board game balderdash? It is a game of words that almost no one ever heard of. People make up definitions and then there is one actual definition. If you play with enough people, it is hilariously funny.

We also have plenty those!

Tomorrow is a lot better - can we just plan on that? Sure I do! But don't put yourself out or anything - I know how much you have going on. Yep, doing better, did my weights and photos for the NN broiler chicks, about to head back out for more work. Well, I'm back... briefly... VERY well put!!!!! :clap OMG, so cute!!!!!!!! :love Agree with this. (This is how Julia Child said to boil eggs, actually). I actually steam all my "boiled" eggs - much better results, and I'm able to get consistent yolks just how I like them every time. Did my weights and photos of the S&G broiler naked necks. At 7 weeks, the largest boy is just under 4 pounds. Meanwhile, the largest girl (50oz at 7 weeks!!!!) is my bestest friend and loves to snuggle with me - I have another Puppy in training: - Ant Farm
that is how I hard boil my eggs. I heard a chef discuss it.
