Afternoon all. Today was candle day at the school with the 2nd graders. They were more excited this time than the first time. We were able to see lots of movement and all 7 eggs are developing nicely. YAY! The 4th grade teacher ended up asking me to come to her classroom and candle with them also, as they have been studying birds.

it vorks, i also at my camp, leave a 5g bucket or trash can with about 4" of water with a 2x4 floating in it with pb on it
they jump in and cant get out

strange, i never thought you'd have any of those lying around

I'm going to make one to use in the back room of the basement. Everyone says they're great; I'm interested in seeing what they do for rats around the chicken run.

Just make sure your water is deep enough to drown a rat.

ARGH!!!!! Migraine today. Unpleasant. Wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't have so much to do. Very irritated.

just keep an eye on it, whats humidity at? is there any condensation on the viewing window?

2x4 sounds like a great idea; even quicker & easier than the wire & bottle. I'm gonna put one together right now.

it'll still die, just out of exhaustion if not drowning

I think it probably is; there's at least a gal. and a half in there now. Even a rat can only swim or tread water for so long.
