I don't often plan that far ahead to go fishing. Usually, I go whenever the mood strikes me. Besides, the last time I set a minnow trap I caught a water snake!
I used to trap all my minnows.... But i think it's not legal here anymore with all the deseases in the great lakes. It's not even legal to dump your minnows in the water anymore.
You have to kill them.... And your supposed to hang on to your receipt till minnows are gone.
Yeah i still try to keep them alive.... They are so expensive.
Gulp minnows work well.... My friend can outfish me with them. I still do slightly Better with live minnows. But not worth the cost.

We can trap and net as long as they're used in same body of water, cause of the hemorrhaging disease? Otherwise they have to be certified with receipt also.
One bait shop has like a soda machine outside and you can buy live bait, minnows, worms, maggots etc when they're closed.
Wow, only 62? I've been out cleaning brooders and doing crap in 98 degree afternoon heat. ^.^
I've been feeding my birds frozen fruit to cool them down and I even hosed my turkey off. He didn't run away, even if he wasn't super happy about being soaked like a goose.
I never get to fish in clear water. I always caught the very most on a tiny lure that looked like this (but the back was a little more green) - seriously, it got hit all the time. When it finally broke I retired it - it's a Christmas ornament now. (I also have done really well with gold spoons.)
Never worked for me so I gave up on it. Then again, opposite side of the country...
Well, I should have known from the way I could barely stay awake when I was at work for my meeting. My body rebelled - when I got home, I fell asleep for 3-1/2 hours. Then collected eggs and changed out chick water. And THAT'S IT - no building or lumber tonight. I just can't stand the thought - still tired. I think I'm going to read and go to bed early, and start over tomorrow.
